Carkeek 40 MKII - Girls on Film, Wins Vice Admiral's Cup and Round 1 of the Points Series Championship.
Round 1 of the 2016 Race Circuit was the RORC Vice
Admirals Cup. A 9 race series with the Fast 40+ class having its
own class start. Races approximately 60 to 90 minutes in duration
for the lead boat of each class and use either windward-leeward or round
the buoys type of courses in the Central Solent area.

Regatta Report
Otra Vez started the day in pole position, but with an OCS in Race 7, alongside several other, over-eager boats, cost them the regatta. Peter Morton's, "GoF" pounced on the opportunity, posting a first and second in the two races, to win by 5 points.
Over the three days of close racing, 6 out of 10 boats, enjoyed podium spots; with the majority of boats continuing to finish each race, within three or four minutes of each other, adding to the enjoyment and excitement of this class.
Commenting on the regatta, at the Prize-giving, Peter Morton, thanked RORC Cowes and the race management team for giving up their time to put on such high quality racing and fantastic hospitality.
With round 1 now out of the way, attention turn to the IRC Nationals starting on the 24th June.
